Why are children today tattooed "from school age"? 🤔🖋️
During this time, when walking around the mall, taking the electric train, or even walking through community schools, there are clearly more high school-college kids tattooed, some with small tattoos on their wrists, some with whole arms, so that adults like me have to stop thinking...
What happened to this era?
Why is school age popular faster?

1. Tattoo is "identity and confidence."
Children nowadays grow up in a period when everything is self-expression.
Social teaches us to be ourselves.
So the tattoo became a symbol of "I like this" and "This is what it really is to me."
Not as scary as the previous era.
2. The idol stream has a lot of effect.
Korean artists, rappers, Thai singers, as well as many YouTube numbers have tattoos.
The child sees it every day, so it feels normal and cool.
3. Good quality tattoo shop. Reach price
You don't have to be a working age because small patterns start out inexpensive.
Modern, clean, safe tools make it easier for children to make decisions.
4. The modern family is more open.
The old view that thought "tattoo = unruly" began to disappear.
Many parents understand and accept more. Children do not have to secretly like before.
But to be honest,
Tattooing from school can affect an internship or some careers that are not open to this image.
So it's your right, but you should think about it before you go down the needle.
In the end... tattoos are not a problem.
But "making decisions without thinking far enough" can be a big deal.

จากที่ผมสังเกตเวลาเดินห้าง/นั่งรถไฟฟ้า หรือผ่านแถวโรงเรียน จะเห็นวัยรุ่นผู้ชายมีรอยสักมากขึ้นจริง ๆ บางคนเริ่มจากลายเล็ก ๆ แต่บางคนไปไกลถึงขั้น “เต็มแผ่นหลัง” หรือแขนลายทั้งท่อน มันทำให้หลายคนตั้งคำถามว่าเด็กรุ่นนี้รีบไปไหม หรือมันคือค่านิยมใหม่กันแน่ สิ่งที่ผมคิดว่าเป็น “ตัวเร่ง” อีกอย่าง คือโซเชียลทำให้ลายสักกลายเป็นแฟชั่นที่แชร์กันง่ายมาก เห็นรูปก่อน–หลังสัก เห็นรีวิวร้าน เห็นงานจริงบนตัวคน ทำให้คนตัดสินใจไวขึ้น และหลายคนไม่ได้คิดว่าลายสักคือเรื่องน่ากลัว แต่เป็นการอัปเกรดภาพลักษณ์ให้ดูเท่ ดูโต ดูมีสตอรี่ เรื่อง “ลายขาก้อม” ก็เป็นอีกคำที่คนชอบพูดถึงในกลุ่มวัยรุ่น เพราะลายบริเวณขา (โดยเฉพาะช่วงน่อง/หน้าแข้ง) เป็นตำแหน่งที่โชว์ได้ง่ายเวลาใส่กางเกงขาสั้น แต่ก็ยังปิดได้ถ้าต้องใส่ขายาวไปโรงเรียนหรือไปฝึกงาน หลายคนเลยเริ่มจากตำแหน่งที่ “คุมความเสี่ยง” ได้ก่อน แล้วค่อยขยับไปจุดที่เด่นขึ้น เช่น แขน คอ หรือหลัง ถ้าจะให้บทความนี้ใช้งานได้จริง ผมอยากเติม “เช็กลิสต์ก่อนสัก” สำหรับวัยเรียน (หรือคนที่ยังไม่มั่นใจ) แบบที่คุยกันตรง ๆ: 1) คิดเรื่องระยะยาวก่อน: อีก 3–5 ปียังชอบลายนี้ไหม? ถ้าเป็นชื่อแฟน/คำฮิตตามกระแส โอกาสเบื่อสูงมาก 2) เลือกตำแหน่งให้เหมาะกับอนาคต: บางคณะ/บางงานยังซีเรียสเรื่องรอยสักที่เห็นชัด ลองเริ่มจากจุดที่ปิดได้ก่อน ถ้ายังไม่แน่ใจ 3) เลือกร้านที่ปลอดภัย: เข็มใหม่ทุกครั้ง มีการฆ่าเชื้อ มีใบอนุญาต/มาตรฐานชัดเจน อย่าหลงแค่ “ราคาถูก” 4) ถามเรื่องการดูแลหลังสักให้ละเอียด: ห้ามแกะสะเก็ด เลี่ยงแดด เลี่ยงสระน้ำช่วงแรก และทาครีมตามช่างแนะนำ เพราะถ้าดูแลไม่ดี สีจะเพี้ยนและเสี่ยงติดเชื้อ 5) เผื่อใจเรื่องลบ/แก้: การลบรอยสักเจ็บและแพงกว่าสักมาก บางสีลบยาก และอาจทิ้งรอยไว้ สุดท้ายผมไม่ได้มองว่าลายสักเป็นสิ่งผิด แต่อยากให้ “การตัดสินใจ” มันโตพอ ๆ กับลายที่เราเลือก เพราะรอยสักอยู่กับเราได้นานมาก และมันส่งผลทั้งเรื่องภาพลักษณ์ การเรียน การฝึกงาน และโอกาสบางอย่างจริง ๆ
