I miss the Gambia so much. It’s been two years exactly since my last trip and idk how I’m functioning. I have more to share , but they are videos. I was also here to participate in a charity event so I was BUSY. I barely had fun , but yall know me I made it work hehe 😜
Visiting The Gambia was truly a unique and enriching experience for me. Exploring my family's country alongside close friends felt like reconnecting with a deep part of my heritage. One of the highlights was trying various new African cuisines — each meal was a delightful journey of flavors and stories. We also took time for sightseeing, immersing ourselves in the vibrant culture and stunning landscapes. Even though I was busy with the charity event, I found moments to experience the warmth of the community and the beauty of traditional African attire. Wearing the new African clothing not only made me feel connected to the people but also added a meaningful cultural touch to the whole trip. Meeting more family members was another unforgettable part of the journey, helping me understand my roots better and strengthening my bonds. This trip reminded me how travel can shape personal growth — blending moments of responsibility with appreciation and joy. Managing to have fun, despite being busy, taught me the importance of balancing commitments with self-care.
