-Sweet Potato dish - || Healthy recipe 🤧
I’m on a journey where I’m trying to eat better since I am going to the gym more. The meal of the week was this dish. Usually I make this with my cousin and potatoes are used, but since I’m trying to shred pounds I thought of using sweet potatoes as the base. It was surprisingly good and I also add mozzarella cheese when I heat it up so that sauce gets brought to life a little bit more. Let me know if you would try !

As someone who has been actively working on improving my diet alongside my gym routine, I found that substituting regular potatoes with sweet potatoes in my meals was a game changer. Sweet potatoes not only add natural sweetness but also provide a rich source of fiber and essential nutrients like vitamin A and potassium, which help with energy and recovery. In this dish, after boiling and mashing the sweet potatoes, I recommend seasoning them well with black pepper, onion powder, and garlic herb to enhance the flavors. Incorporating a creamy sauce made with heavy cream, gouda cheese, and a beef bouillon cube adds a luxurious texture that complements the mild sweetness. Layering colorful vegetables such as broccoli, carrots, green beans, and cauliflower not only boosts the nutrient profile but also adds a satisfying crunch. For protein, I like to top it with seasoned fish or shrimp before baking it all in the oven for 30-40 minutes. This method locks in flavors and keeps the proteins tender. Heating mozzarella cheese on top right before serving brings the sauce to life with a gooey, melty finish that every cheese lover will appreciate. This recipe makes for a fulfilling, nutrient-dense meal that's easy to prepare and perfect for anyone looking to eat healthier while still enjoying their food. If you're working toward fitness goals or just want new meal ideas, definitely give this sweet potato dish a try—you might be surprised how delicious and satisfying healthy eating can be!
