SPRING JUICE CLEANSE: juice 5

hello hello and welcome back to my juice cleanse!

today is day 5 of the juice cleanse, and i am not about to be that person like “i feel so good” or “this is so great!” it’s an omad juice cleanse. i’m hungry, obviously. that being said, it happens. it’s fine lmao.

for todays juice, we have the beet-tastic juice! it kind of tastes like dirt but in a positive way! i love when things taste kind of earthy (think matcha).

this morning we did an ab workout on m/body and it was pretty good!

... Read moreHello, fellow cleanse enthusiasts! As I hit Day 5 of this Spring Juice Cleanse, I wanted to share more about what’s really going on and some tips that have helped me, especially with that 'beet-tastic' juice. First, let's talk about the incredible power packed into those ingredients: 2 whole beets, 4 carrots, fresh ginger, and 1 red apple. Oh, the mighty beet! While that 'earthy' taste might surprise some, it's packed with nitrates that support blood flow and betalains, which are amazing antioxidants for liver detoxification. It's like giving your body a little internal scrub! And those vibrant carrots? Not just for vision! They're loaded with beta-carotene, great for skin health and boosting immunity. Plus, they add a natural sweetness that balances the beet's earthiness. Fresh ginger is my secret weapon in almost any juice. It's fantastic for digestion, easing any cleanse discomfort, and has powerful anti-inflammatory properties. A little kick goes a long way! Finally, a pop of red apple brings natural sugars and pectin, a soluble fiber that aids digestion and helps stabilize blood sugar. It's the perfect balancing act in this blend, making it one of my go-to juices for a cleanse. Speaking of hunger on an OMAD cleanse, it's totally normal! On Day 5, your body is really starting to adjust. What helped me was focusing on why I started – that spring reset feeling! Preparing mentally for those hunger pangs, having plenty of water, and sometimes a warm herbal tea can make a huge difference. Remember, it's a short-term reset, not a permanent state. For anyone planning a 5-day juice cleanse, preparation is key. I always spend a day or two before easing into it by cutting out processed foods, caffeine, and heavy meals. And just as important: how you break the cleanse. Don't jump straight to a burger! Start with light fruits, steamed veggies, and nourishing broths to gently reintroduce solids. This helps your digestive system readjust and prevents discomfort. While my beet juice is a superstar, exploring other juices can keep things interesting. Green juices with spinach, kale, cucumber, and lemon are fantastic for chlorophyll and alkalizing properties. Or try a citrus blast with oranges, grapefruits, and a touch of cayenne for a metabolic boost. Varying your ingredients ensures you get a wider spectrum of nutrients throughout your cleanse. Don't forget about hydration! Beyond your juices, consuming plenty of filtered water, perhaps with a squeeze of lemon, is vital. It helps flush toxins and keeps you feeling fuller. Even during a cleanse, gentle movement can be incredibly beneficial. Like my ab workout on m/body, light exercise such as walking, yoga, or stretching helps stimulate circulation and lymphatic drainage, further supporting your body's natural detoxification process. Just listen to your body and don't overdo it, especially on lower calorie days. Ultimately, a juice cleanse isn't just about weight loss; it's about giving your digestive system a break, boosting nutrient intake, and fostering a sense of lightness and clarity. It's an opportunity to reset habits and feel refreshed from the inside out. Embrace the journey, and celebrate each day of your cleanse!
