☹️
There is a quiet exhaustion that comes from trying to control everything.
To hold every outcome in your hands.
To predict every turn.
To make life bend to your will.
And yet—
the tighter we hold,
the more restless the heart becomes.
We were not created to carry the weight of the whole world.
Only to love within it.
Many of us believe that control will bring peace.
“If I can just manage this… fix that… secure what’s ahead…”
then finally, I will be at rest.
But control is a poor substitute for trust.
It asks you to be both human and God at the same time.
And that is a burden no soul can bear for long.
To live in love is to live with open hands.
Not careless.
Not passive.
But surrendered.
Surrender is not losing your life.
It is allowing love to lead it.
It is waking each day and saying,
“Lord, let me be faithful in what is mine to do—
and gentle enough to release what is not.”
There is great freedom in this way of living.
You begin to notice people more deeply.
You become kinder without effort.
You stop measuring your worth by outcomes you cannot control.
And slowly, quietly—
peace begins to grow.
If you are tired of holding everything together,
perhaps it is not a sign that you are failing.
Perhaps it is an invitation
to loosen your grip.
You do not need to control your life to live it well.
You only need to love—
and to trust that love is enough.
