Pre-Natal Charges Private Hospital Edition 🪞
My partner and I had our first OBGYN visit at Raffles Hospital however we found it rather expensive as we did not do any tests, and the charges were purely for consultation & ultrasound. Hence we decided to change to Thomson Medical Centre for our follow ups!
Clinic offered a package which cost $1,000 + GST ($1,090) for all regular scheduled consultation, ultrasound & urine test sticks. The package last till baby was born so we found it quite worth it considering the amount of visits we were gonna go for!
The 20th week scan was mandatory to check on baby’s growth & to check for any physical defects (eg. fingers, toes, eye sockets etc.) It is also mandatory to do at least 1 blood test in TMC before delivery.
Immunisation are all optional but we chose to get both whooping cough & RSV vaccine as it is suppose to protect baby. Both vaccines requires 1-2 weeks to be passed into baby’s immune system! If baby comes out before that, sadly the immunisation will be wasted!
All in all, I would say that we paid a decent amount (excluding the visit at raffles) for our whole pre-natal visits and tests! How much did you guys spend? 😊
