10 styles of baby photoshoot for only $338 🤭🤭
Baby was born in late March & I only went on a search for photographers after bb was born. This was because we had initially booked a highly raved confinement centre in JB however we had a change of mind after reading the reviews and chose to stay in SG for confinement. I researched and shortlisted a few photographers in JB but we ended up staying in SG, hence the short timeline to find a baby photographer as most of the popular ones that friends and family recommended were fully booked & they usually only accept bookings till bb is around 10-14 days old.
Stumbled upon this photographer during my hunt & decided to contact her. She was not pushy for us to book the photography session and I felt really comfortable talking to her. She told me to look through her Instagram & choose 4 styles, she will prepare the rest and take as many styles as possible for bb!
We ended up with 10 styles (1 of it was a half naked bb 🤭) & a simple family photoshoot. My husband & I were really happy with the photos! We received the final edits on the same day, we looked through the photos and ended up really liking the plain and simple ones instead!
Photographer Yen was really good with handling and soothing bb, we can also tell that she loves kids!
She also mentioned that she only takes on one job per day as washes the props after every shoot.
5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for Yen!
Finding the perfect baby photographer shortly after my little one was born proved to be quite a challenge, especially with the tight timeframe and how quickly popular photographers get booked. I can totally relate to the stress of searching for someone who is both skilled and patient with newborns. What made my experience better was discovering a photographer who genuinely cared about the baby’s comfort and did not pressure us to book immediately. One thing I appreciated was how she encouraged us to pick just a few styles from her Instagram portfolio and then went above and beyond by preparing additional setups to capture a variety of looks. We ended up with 10 adorable styles and even a simple family shoot, giving us a wonderful range of memories from that precious first month. Having the final edits delivered on the same day so we could immediately share and choose our favorites was a real bonus. Sometimes, the simplest photos—plain and natural—turn out to be the most cherished. Another takeaway is how important it is that the photographer handles the baby gently and knows how to soothe them, creating a calm environment for the shoot. Additionally, I was impressed to learn that the photographer only takes one session per day and carefully cleans all the props afterwards, ensuring hygiene and safety—a small detail that means a lot when it comes to newborn care. All these thoughtful touches resulted in a smooth photoshoot experience and heartwarming photos we will treasure forever. If you're expecting or have a newborn, I highly recommend starting your photographer search early. Look for someone who listens to your preferences, shows genuine care for your baby’s well-being, and offers a creative variety of shooting styles. It makes all the difference in creating beautiful, lasting family memories.
