Getting helix piercings on both ears can be quite an adventure, especially during the healing phase. From my own experience, it’s common to develop piercing bumps—small, often painful swelling caused by irritation or infection. It’s important not to pick or squeeze these bumps to avoid further complications. Sleeping with fresh helix piercings can be challenging. I struggled to find a comfortable position because any pressure on the ears caused pain. Using a travel pillow or sleeping on your back can help reduce pressure and promote healing. Additionally, keeping your piercings clean with a saline solution twice daily was crucial in my healing process. Remember, the healing time for helix piercings can vary but typically takes 6 to 12 months. Patience and proper care are key. Avoid touching them with dirty hands, and refrain from changing your earrings too soon. If piercing bumps persist or worsen, consulting with a professional piercer or healthcare provider is recommended. Overall, while the first month was tough with sleep disturbances and bumps, consistent care helped improve the condition. Now, I’m starting to enjoy my helix piercings more—just as long as I keep taking good care of them!
