My Fall Class Schedule! 📝👩‍💻

United States
2024/8/10 Edited to

... Read moreHey everyone! Kicking off my freshman year at ASU and still buzzing with excitement about my fall class schedule. It feels surreal to finally embrace this new chapter, and I wanted to share a deeper dive into the courses I'm taking and some thoughts on what I'm expecting (and preparing for!). It's all part of the wild college journey, right? My schedule this semester includes some core subjects that many of you might also be tackling in your first year. First up, I have BIO 181 General Biology I. From what I hear, it's foundational for anyone in a science major, covering everything from cell biology to genetics. My plan for success here is to really focus on understanding the concepts, not just memorizing. Flashcards and drawing out processes are going to be my best friends! Then there's MAT 210 Brief Calculus, which I anticipate will be a major brain workout! Calculus can be challenging, but it's also incredibly useful, so I'm focusing on consistent practice problems and definitely plan to utilize any tutoring services ASU offers. For anyone looking at 'all course in college' options, don't shy away from these challenging but rewarding subjects. I also have NEW 101 ASU New College Experience, which seems like a fantastic way to acclimate to university life, find resources, and connect with peers. I'm hoping it helps me settle into my 'ASU course schedule' and the campus environment smoothly. And looking ahead, I know BIO 182 General Biology II is on the horizon, and I've already heard whispers about the intensity of the 'BIO 182 exam 1', so I'm trying to build a strong foundation now with BIO 181. Finally, STP 226 Elements of Statistics rounds out my academic plate – another foundational course that I anticipate will be super useful. It's all part of building a solid 'biology freshman year' academic base. For anyone else out there wondering about 'my college schedule' or how to build a good one, especially for your first 'semester in college', my biggest tip so far is to balance your required courses with any electives that genuinely interest you. Don't overload yourself, especially in your first semester. When planning your 'ASU class schedule' or any university schedule, definitely look into professors' reviews if possible, and try to space out your tougher classes. I also made sure to leave some gaps for study time, campus activities, and just... breathing! It’s all about finding that balance for a healthy 'college student life'. Speaking of study time, for courses like BIO 181 and MAT 210, I'm planning to revisit notes daily, utilize tutoring services if needed, and form study groups. Especially for those big 'ASU Bio 182 exam 1' type assessments, consistency is absolutely key. Remember to take advantage of resources your university offers. Whether it's academic advising, writing centers, or peer mentoring, they’re there to help us succeed. It’s all part of the 'college journey' and figuring out a good 'college routine'. I'm super excited for this 'college routine' to kick in! What are your thoughts on these courses? Any seasoned college students have tips for a freshman tackling BIO 181, MAT 210, or just navigating their 'ASU course schedule' in general? Would love to hear your advice!
