Okochi Sanso (Part 2)
Okochi Sanso Garden, which was built by Denjiro Okochi over 30 years, is a vast strolling garden that stands quietly at the end of the path of the Arashiyama bamboo forest.
It is famous for the Hozu River descent and the Sagano Torokko Train that runs like sewing the foot of the mountain in the first-class river Katsura River that flows next to it, but the person named Ryoi Suminokura who made the excavation work of this Katsura River is particularly well known.
You can see a temple called Daihikaku Senkoji Temple on the mountainside of the opposite bank seen from this Okochi Sanso. In the temple, this wooden structure of Ryoi Suminokura is always facing the river to pray for the hard work of those who worked hard to excavate this river and those who suffered damage.
Sazen TANGE is a story about a thin, one-eyed, one-handed monster swordsman who appeared in a volume of a long novel serialized in a newspaper from 1931 to the following year, and 'Kokezaru no Tsubo' is particularly famous.

大河内山荘庭園はただの観光地ではなく、自然と歴史が融合した特別な場所だと感じました。園内をゆったり散策すると、苔むした石灯籠や茅葺き屋根の滴水庵といった伝統的な建築が美しい景観を作り出しています。特に秋の紅葉シーズンには、赤やオレンジに染まった葉が空に向かって広がり、その彩りは思わず写真に収めたくなるほどです。 桂川をはさんだ向こう岸には、角倉了以による開削工事を偲ぶ大悲閣千光寺が静かに佇んでいます。この場所から見える寺院の風景は、庭園の自然美とともに歴史ロマンを感じさせ、訪れる人の心を穏やかにします。また、保津川下りや嵯峨野トロッコ列車の走る景色も楽しめ、四季折々の風景を堪能できるのが魅力です。 私が特に印象深かったのは、子どもたちの笑顔が溢れる庭園の入り口や、休憩所で紅葉に囲まれてゆったり過ごす人々の姿。訪れる誰もが心から癒やされる空間で、友人や家族との思い出づくりにも最適です。丹下左膳など日本映画の歴史的人物にも触れら れ、文化の深さも感じられました。ぜひ季節ごとの美しい自然と歴史を満喫しに訪れてみてください。
