Let’s talk reading slump’s 📚💆🏻‍♀️

I had been in a major reading slump since high school and could not find anything that remotely interested me. I am always seeking books that leave you breathless and wondering or nail-biting. I thank booktok for introducing me to Sarah J. Maas who single-handedly got me out of my 5 year reading slump🥹🫶 I think what helped was going into the book (ACOTAR) not knowing ANYTHING. The spoilers are bad on booktok - some without warning!

I literally am shook at every cliff hanger and am now on the 3rd in the series. I am so scared for it to end! Anyone else currently reading her books? Any author/book recommendations? Need me some book friends 💟

The image features the title "HOW TO GET OUT OF A SLUMP" in red text. It shows a hand holding a smartphone with a blank screen and a bed with clothes on it, all against a light pink background with red accents.
This image defines a "slump" as having no motivation despite tasks, listing symptoms like excessive phone usage, inability to get out of bed, feeling groggy, and being unable to complete tasks. It asks "so.. how do we get out of it?" with a swipe prompt.
The image presents five tactics to overcome a slump: the 5-second rule, the 5-minutes rule, using past mistreatment as motivation, romanticizing small tasks, and watching motivational videos. It notes these are personal tips, not guaranteed fixes.
