Daily apps I use as a mom 🤍📱

As a first time mom I have tried many many and I mean many apps to make my life more efficient. I’ve come down to four apps I use daily and have helped me stay on top of routine and have given me some ideas.

1. Hatch Sleep 💤

This app is only available if you have the Hatch sound machine which I recommend 10/10 to purchase one for your nursery. You are able to customize your babies morning and bedtime routine on the app by setting up the light and sound you want to turn on when the time is right. You can also use this app without stepping into their room while sleeping to change the volume, the light, and sound.

2. Huckleberry 📝

If there is an app I recommend to get today is this one. You won’t regret it! I tried about 6 different apps to track my baby’s schedule and they were confusing or had too many ads etc. I love this one because it’s easy to use but also gives you your child’s data 📉. You can also set reminders for feeding, changing diapers, medicine and pumping.

3. Vroom 🧸

If you’re searching for ideas of how to do free and/creative activities with your little one (ages 0-5) this app has been helpful with guiding me on how to engage with my newborn. Everyday it gives you a new activity you can try with your little one and usually it does not require any extra materials or things to buy. I love that it teaches and promotes connectivity and engagement with my little one. It also explains what are the pros of what we’re doing together.

4. Notes 🗒️

I know this might be random but I keep a folder specifically for my little one. I write ✍🏼 notes to keep track of questions & answers I have for her doctor, links to informative articles, schedules etc.

... Read moreAs a new mom, finding tools to make life a little easier feels like striking gold! The original article shared some fantastic apps that truly transform daily routines, helping us keep track of everything from baby's sleep with Hatch Sleep to their feeding schedules with Huckleberry. And who knew the simple Notes app could become a lifeline for doctors' questions and important links? These truly act as invaluable 'mom planner apps,' helping to streamline the often chaotic journey of early motherhood. Beyond simply tracking, these apps are powerful organizational tools. For instance, the Vroom app, by offering daily activity ideas, helps plan engaging interactions with your little one without requiring extra materials – a true lifesaver when you're short on time and energy. It's about more than just logging data; it's about reducing mental load by having a dedicated space for all your thoughts and plans. I've found that having a digital planner for various aspects of mom life, whether it's baby schedules, grocery lists, or even just brainstorming activities, drastically cuts down on stress. However, being a mom isn't just about the baby; it’s also about taking care of ourselves! Many of us, myself included, spend a lot of time thinking about our own health postpartum. This is where another category of essential apps comes in handy: women's health trackers. After giving birth, understanding your body's recovery, tracking your cycle's return, and planning for future family needs become really important. Apps like Flo Health, for example, are incredibly popular for helping women monitor their menstrual cycles, ovulation, and even postpartum changes. I remember constantly wondering when my period would return after breastfeeding, and having an app to track symptoms and estimated cycles was a huge relief. It helped me feel more in tune with my body and empowered me to make informed decisions about my health and family planning. These types of apps can track everything from mood swings and energy levels to symptoms and flow, providing valuable insights into your overall well-being. Coupled with baby tracking apps like Huckleberry, they create a holistic view of both mom and baby's health needs. Ultimately, the goal is to leverage technology to support your journey, not complicate it. Whether it's a dedicated baby tracker, an activity planner like Vroom, a simple note-taking system for doctor's appointments, or a personal health tracker, choosing the right apps can make a significant difference in managing your daily life as a new mom. It’s all about finding what works best for you to stay organized, connected, and sane!
