Mind You: I wrote this in 6TH GRADE….✍️
#
Looking back at something I wrote in 6th grade really takes me on a journey through my younger self’s mindset and emotional state. At that age, writing was often a raw and honest way to express what was swirling around inside my head, even if the words weren’t always perfectly clear or polished. What struck me most was how themes like self-identity, sensitivity to others' opinions, and discovering personal strengths were already emerging early on. I remember leaning against a wall in class, hands clasped as I jotted down thoughts about how much other people's opinions mattered to me, and how challenging it was to find confidence amidst all the noise. There was a kind of vulnerability but also a budding sense of resilience. It felt like the writing wasn’t just about school, but about understanding who I was becoming. This kind of early writing reminds me how important it is to listen to young people's voices and to acknowledge that their feelings and introspection are valuable. Even when the spelling or grammar wasn’t perfect, the underlying emotions and reflections showed real depth. Revisiting such pieces can be encouraging for anyone trying to accept their growth process and remind them that it’s OK to feel unsure or awkward as you develop your talents and identity. If you ever come across your own old writings, I encourage you to cherish them. They serve as a personal archive of your growth, a snapshot of your past thoughts and dreams. Sometimes, they can inspire you to keep exploring and expressing yourself even more fully now.
