Hey fellow cat parents! I saw so many of you asking about cat litter, especially the Purina Tidy Cats Lightweight 24/7 Performance Odor Control, and I just had to share my two cents. As a busy cat mom, finding the right litter is such a game-changer, and I'm always on the hunt for something that truly delivers. When it comes to picking a good clumping cat litter, there are a few essential factors I always evaluate. First off, odor control is paramount – nobody wants their home smelling like a litter box, right? I look for formulas with "CONTINUOUS ODOR CONTROL" and an "AMMONIA BLOCKER" to really tackle those stinky smells. Secondly, clumping ability is key for easy cleaning. Good litter should form strong, "ODOR-ABSORBING CLUMPS" that don't crumble when you scoop, making the chore so much quicker. Thirdly, dust levels are a big deal, especially for our cats' respiratory health and our own. I always check for "99.9% DUST FREE" claims. Lastly, the "WEIGHT" of the litter itself matters to me – lifting heavy bags can be a struggle, so "LOSE THE WEIGHT NOT THE LITTER" definitely catches my eye. This helps with the overall "STRENGTH" of managing the litter box. So, how did the Purina Tidy Cats Lightweight hold up for me? I've been giving it a try, and I have to say, the "24/7 PERFORMANCE" and "LIGHTWEIGHT" aspect are definitely noticeable. It really did feel lighter to carry, which is a win! I found its "INNOVATIVE TO THE CORE" technology helped it "ABSORB LIQUID & ODOR" pretty well. The "CLUMPING SHELL" did a decent job creating those "ODOR-ABSORBING CLUMPS," making scooping fairly easy. As for being "99.9% DUST FREE," it was certainly less dusty than some other brands I’ve tried, which is a relief for my allergies. Safety is always a concern for our fur babies, and a low-dust formula like this is generally a good sign. When it comes to value, keeping an eye out for a "cat litter sale" can make this a very dependable option at a fair price. While Tidy Cats Lightweight has its perks, I know we all have different needs and preferences! If you’re looking to explore other options, I've heard great things about ARM&HAMMER Cloud Control Multi-Cat Clumping for its strong odor control, and many swear by Fresh Step Multi-Cat Scented with the power of Febreze. For those who prefer natural options, Dr. Elsey's Ultra Natural Clumping Clay Cat Litter is often recommended for its excellent clumping and low dust. Each cat responds differently to new litters, so sometimes it's all about trial and error to find their perfect fit. Some wonder how cats respond to new litters during transition, and a slow introduction is always best, mixing a bit of the new with the old. What are your thoughts, mommas? Have you tried Purina Tidy Cats Lightweight? Did you have a different experience? And if you have any secret weapon cat litters you absolutely love, especially ones that are great value or often on "cat litter sale," please spill the beans in the comments below! I'm always looking for new recommendations to keep our homes fresh and our kitties happy.
I don’t use the lightweight litter, my cats don’t like it. I use the 24/7 performance or the one with gain and add arm and hammer litter deodorizer in between cleanings.
