R's cafeは川越の地元愛を感じさせるハワイアンカフェで、訪れるたびに新たな発見があります。 私自身も行ってみて感じたことですが、小規模ながら清潔で落ち着いた雰囲気の店内は、とても居心地がよく、ゆったりと過ごせるのが魅力です。席数が少なめなので、訪問の際は予約やタイミングを見計らうのがおすすめです。 メニューの中でとくに印象的だったのは、特製ソースがクセになる国産チキンのハニーマスタード。もち粉チキンのカリッとした食感と相まって、ハワイアンながら繊細な味付けが見事です。さらに、ガーリックシュリンプはバターと焦がしガーリックの香りが食欲をそそり、バターのコクがしっかり感じられました。 そして、白米と玄米から選べるお米も嬉しいポイント。私は玄米を選びましたが、しっかりした食感と香りが料理の味を引き立てていて、ヘルシー志向の方にもおすすめです。また、ご飯大盛りができるのもお腹が空いている時に嬉しいサービスだと思います。 デザートのミニアサイーは量が多すぎず、ちょうどよいサイズでシェアもしやすいのが嬉しかったです。バナナの薄切りやハイカカオチョコ、グラノーラ入りでさっぱりとした甘さが楽しめ、最後まで美味しくいただけました。 店長さんはとても気さくな方で、ハワイにまつわる話も弾んで、初めての方でも緊張せずに楽しめる雰囲気です。ご夫婦の名前が由来の店名や、川越の象徴である時の鐘をモチーフにしたロゴに込められた思いもお店の大きな魅力です。 川越で落ち着いたハワイアン料理を楽しみたい方に、ぜひ訪れてほしいカフェです。私もまた季節のメニューを味わいに伺いたいと思います。
