One of my absolute favorite animated sequences involving them has to be during the Natagumo Mountain arc. When Nezuko unleashes her Blood Demon Art for the first time to protect Tanjiro against Rui, the sheer power and emotion in that scene are breathtaking. The vibrant colors, the fluid movements, and the intense soundtrack just elevate it to another level. It’s a moment that truly solidifies their unbreakable bond and shows Nezuko's importance beyond just being a demon. Then there's the heartwarming side, like their playful interactions or when Tanjiro carries Nezuko in her box. These smaller, quieter moments are just as impactful as the epic battles, showing the daily struggles and simple joys of their journey. The animators do such a fantastic job of conveying these emotions without needing words. Sometimes it's just a glance, or a protective stance, and you know exactly what they're feeling. Honestly, every time I rewatch the series, I find new details in their animation that I didn't notice before. The way Nezuko's expressions change, even subtly, despite her muzzle, or the sheer force conveyed in Tanjiro's Water Breathing forms when he's fighting to protect her. It’s all so meticulously crafted. Their journey isn't just about fighting demons; it's about family, perseverance, and the struggle to retain humanity. The animation perfectly encapsulates these themes, making their story so compelling.
