私も実際に60代の両親と草津温泉へ訪れた経験がありますが、温泉街の雰囲気や食べ歩きは高齢者にも非常に優しく、特に共同浴場の利用はホテルの大浴場とは違った温泉本来の魅力を味わえます。湯畑周辺はコンパクトで歩きやすく、写真映えするスポットも多いので、のんびり散策にぴったりです。 草津温泉の自然湧出量は日本一というだけあり、湯畑の辺りからはいつも湯けむりが立ち上り、温泉の鮮度の良さを感じられました。またpH2前後の強酸性泉が持つ殺菌作用は、実際に私の家族の神経痛や疲労回復にも効果があったと喜んでいました。 さらに、夜の温泉街では湯畑のライトアップと満天の星空が幻想的で、都会では味わえない静かな癒やしを体験できます。スキー場も近いため、季節問わず楽しめるのが草津の魅力です。 交通面では東京から新幹線とJR、バスを乗り継いで約2時間半から3時間の道のりで、無理なく行けるのが大きな利点。私はいつも上野発のJR特急を使い、1本で長野原草津口駅まで行ける便利さを実感しています。帰りのプランも同じルートがおすすめです。 草津温泉バスセンターの設備も整っており、観光案内所で気軽に情報収集ができるほか、休憩所やコインロッカーも利用でき、荷物を預けて身軽に観光を楽しめました。バスの本数も充実しているので、万座温泉や白根山など周辺観光へもアクセスしやすいです。 全体的に体に優しい旅行で、ゆったりした温泉滞在を求める60代以上の方に最適な温泉地だと感じたので、これから行かれる方にはぜひ共同浴場巡りと湯畑のライトアップ、地元名物のまんじゅう食べ歩きを楽しむプランをおすすめします。
