The contrast of the special blue sea called "Iwami Blue" that wakes you up and the white sandy beach is a spectacular view with the two names of "Awake no Kakai ‼️
Perhaps because it is a little difficult to access 😅 there are few travelers regardless of domestic or overseas, and it is still a superb spot known to those in the know ✨✨✨
First of all, if you are inbound, you will go to Sunaba (Tottori Sand Dunes 🐪) or Uratomi Coast where there is a pleasure boat 🛳️ even in the same geopark 😅
I don't think there is a quiet and relaxing place like "Nada Soso" that looks so beautiful and photogenic 🩵✨
We do not dare to develop more than necessary to protect nature

・ There is nothing but a toilet at the nearest Higashihama station, so drinks and lunches are essential (there is a restaurant and a seaside house a few minutes on foot, but it does not open before noon & it is closed irregularly ⚠️)
・ The road along the sea is closed due to falling rocks, so please check in advance when accessing by car or bicycle!
・ It is also a stop station of the JR luxury train "Mizukaze," so if you can afford it, this is recommended 🚃
実際に行ってみて一番びっくりしたのは、写真よりも「水の透明度」がすごいことでした。波が落ち着いているタイミングだと、海底の岩や砂がはっきり見えて、「海底 岩が見えるってこういうことか…」と納得。いわゆる“岩美ブルー”は、真上から見ると深い青、浅瀬や入り江はエメラルドグリーンっぽく見えて、1つの海岸で色が変わるのも楽しかったです。 「山陰ジオパーク 青の洞窟ってあるの？」と気になる人も多いと思いますが、この周辺は洞窟っぽい岩場や大きな岩山が点在していて、光の入り方次第で水面が青く見える場所がありました。いわゆる観光地化された“洞窟ツアー”というより、自然の地形を眺めて楽しむ感じ。足場は岩が多いので、サンダルよりマリンシューズ（濡れてもOKの靴）があると安心です。 アクセスは東浜駅からすぐなのに、駅前が本当に静かで驚きます。売店がない前提で、飲み物・軽食は鳥取駅周辺で買ってから向かうのが正解でした。電車も本数が少ないので、到着と帰りの時刻を先に決めておくと、現地で焦らなくて済みます。あと夏場は日陰が少ないので、帽子と日焼け止め、暑さ対策は必須。 海を眺めるベストタイミングは、個人的には「風が弱い日＋午前中」。水面が穏やかだと色がよりクリアに見えて、白い砂浜とのコントラストが際立ちます。逆に風が強い日は波が立って白く濁って見えやすいので、前日に天気予報で風もチェックすると失敗しにくいです。 「淡路島 ジオパーク」と迷う人もいるかもですが、山陰海岸ジオパーク（鳥取〜兵庫〜京都）は、観光地の便利さより“手つかず感”が魅力だと感じました。カフェや映え小物は少ないけれど、その分静かで、海外の絶景みたいな海を独り占めできる瞬間があります。便利さより、綺麗な海をぼーっと眺めて回復したい人にこそ刺さる場所でした。
