東日本大震災から15年が経過し、被災地の変化を目の当たりにすると、「早いような、何も進んでいないような」という複雑な感情が湧いてきます。瓦礫の山だった地方の小さな町に新しい道路ができ、日常生活が一歩ずつ戻ってきていることは確かです。 私は、毎年3月11日が近づくと震災当時のことを思い返し、今の生活のありがたさを実感します。被害が大きかった三陸の海が冷たく、命の大切さを胸に刻んだ瞬間でもありました。震災直後は何もできない無力感がありましたが、小さな支援の積み重ねが復興につながることを学びました。 例えば、地元で震災により一時閉店した名物菓子店「かもめの玉子」や「さいとう製菓」が復活し、あの味をまた楽しめることは、多くの人にとって心の支えとなっています。私も震災 支援の一環として、3月11日に検索をすると10円が寄付される仕組みを利用して寄付をしました。 また、震災当時幼稚園生だった投稿写真の男の子のように、困難な状況の中でたくましく育った子どもたちも大勢います。彼は魚を釣ってさばき、家族にふるまうまでに成長しました。今年は成人を迎え、未来を担う一人の若者としての活躍を応援したいと思います。 復興への道のりはまだ続きますが、私たち一人一人が「忘れない」という強い想いを持ち続けることが被災地の支えになります。みんなで心を一つにして、継続的な支援や地域の魅力発信を続けていきましょう。東北の美しい海や山、人々の絆は決して消えることのない宝物です。
