Customs Department revealed three drug arrests for fiscal 2026, including 214 cases worth over 691 million baht.

Customs Department reveals the results of drug crackdown in the first 9 months of fiscal year 2026, can arrest 214 drug cases, total medium seizure of more than 917 kilograms, damage value of more than 691 million baht.

The Director-General of Customs, Gen. Thong Loi Gul Nan, revealed that the Customs has adopted an urgent policy of

The Customs has integrated its operations with the Seaport Interdiction Task Force (SITF), the Airport Interdiction Task Force (AITF) to increase the effectiveness of international passenger, baggage, containers and parcels screening, resulting in the ongoing arrest of drug smuggling cases, especially Heroin, which is exported to Australia, Hong Kong and Taiwan, is the top of the list, with the highest amount of seized drugs including ice, heroin, methamphetamine, ketamine, cocaine and the most detected channels being smuggling through mail channels. However, Customs has stepped up surveillance measures and tightened import and export checks on all channels, especially passenger baggage checks, with the introduction of an operational passenger monitoring and pre-screening system, along with news information on monitoring targets. It has also focused on integration with agencies.

At home and abroad, as well as investigating, expanding the results of arrests to intercept drugs and cutting the cycle of transnational criminal networks.
