Since you witnessed my planner panic…
I thought I would share with y’all how k actually plan my week 👀
Here’s the truth:
I don’t time block.
As a busy mom working from home and beauty entrepreneur, my days shift constantly. So Instead of strict hourly scheduling, I:
✨Braindump everything first
✨separate it by category (kids,clients,home,content,me)
✨choose my top 3 priorities each day
✨adjust as life happens
Some days I get it all done. Some days we just survive 😅
It writing it down keeps me focused and sane
Are you a time blocker or a flexible planner? Be honest 👀👇🏾

From my experience juggling motherhood and running a business from home, traditional time blocking often feels too rigid and stressful. Instead, I find that starting my week by doing a comprehensive brain dump—writing down every task, appointment, and random thought—helps clear my mind and gives me an overview of what’s truly urgent or important. Organizing these tasks by categories such as kids, clients, home duties, content creation, and personal care allows me to see where my time and energy will be spent. This approach prevents overwhelm and helps me balance competing priorities in different areas of life. Choosing my top 3 priorities each day is a game-changer. It narrows my focus and ensures I accomplish what matters most, even if unexpected events disrupt my schedule. Flexibility is key—I adjust plans as needed without guilt, acknowledging that some days are for productivity and others for survival. Writing everything down consistently has not only improved my productivity but also my mental health. It creates a sense of control amid the unpredictability of working from home with kids around. If you’re a busy mom or entrepreneur struggling with strict schedules, I recommend trying this flexible planning style. Embrace the chaos by allowing your plan to shift and evolve daily. You’ll likely find yourself less stressed and more satisfied with your accomplishments. Are you a time blocker or a flexible planner? Either way, find what works for you and keep refining your routine to fit your unique lifestyle.

I’m a flexible scheduler. I have tried time blocking but I move the blocks around and then never come back to them.
