Indian Fusion Food @ JB ✨
Hey zesties 😘
A quick overview of my experience at this wonderful Indian-Fusion restaurant at Johor Bahru below👇
I was recommended by my dad’s friend to try out The Spice Kitchen restaurant. I have tagged the dishes we ordered on the picture above!
U guys should seriously head out to try their POPULAR dish, Cheese Naan. Its really mindblowing 🫢🫢 I was surprised because the cheese is thick and really makes the naan soft to chew - a good option to consider.
Next, the Spicy Thai Fried Rice is a winner for me! I got addicted within the first few bites, rice cooked well, spices on point, chunky chicken pieces, aroma of tom yum flavour, overall had me wanting for moree 😉😉
Although, I have to say they do not have the best biryani, there are better ones out there 🙃
Just a Note: They have a membership price which is really worth it - RM 290, which lasts for 3 years of membership and offering 50% off food at five affiliated restaurants. This membership is a "DCG Platinum Card," which can be renewed for RM 200 after the 3 year mark. It gives a 20% discount on takeaway food at specific participating restaurants like The Banana Leaf Kitchen.

If you're exploring Indian fusion cuisine in Johor Bahru, The Spice Kitchen stands out with unique dishes that blend flavors creatively. Beyond the popular Cheese Naan and Spicy Thai Fried Rice, try their Garlic Naan for a flavorful twist. Though their Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani may not top the charts, it's still a comforting choice paired with their refreshing mixed curd raita. I also found it helpful that the restaurant offers a DCG Platinum membership, which unlocked significant savings across five affiliated restaurants—not just here! At RM 290 for three years and renewals at RM 200, it's an excellent option for locals and frequent diners. Plus, enjoy a 20% discount on takeaway orders at places like The Banana Leaf Kitchen. For breakfast seekers, while the menu is limited, their Indian breakfast options have a nice touch of fusion and traditional flavors, ideal for a light start. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, with staff delivering great hospitality, which enhanced my overall experience. If you’re new to Indian fusion foods or looking to explore variations in JB, giving The Spice Kitchen a try can be a rewarding culinary adventure. Don’t forget to check out their menu online for special dishes and seasonal flavors before you head there!
