I’m bought these lanterns as favors for my upcoming wedding
Do you think it’s displayed alright? I’m trying to make them look like they are floating… I’m going to spray paint the lamp base gold and the octopus hanger gold as well. I’m not sure if it looks stupid though. What are your honest opinions. Thank you!
When planning wedding favors, presentation is just as important as the gifts themselves. Floating lanterns create an enchanting atmosphere and can easily become a memorable part of your wedding décor. I experimented with different ways to make lanterns appear as if they are floating, such as suspending them with transparent fishing wire or using decorative hangers shaped like octopuses, which add a whimsical, ocean-inspired element. Spraying the lamp base and octopus hanger gold is a fantastic idea to elevate the look, adding elegance and tying the favors to a cohesive wedding theme. One tip I found helpful is testing the color spray on a small sample first to ensure the gold finish complements the lantern materials and doesn’t overpower their delicate glow. Additionally, positioning these lanterns at varying heights enhances the floating illusion. Using gentle LED lights inside maintains safety while giving off a warm, inviting ambience. Don’t hesitate to gather honest feedback from friends or family, as fresh perspectives can highlight improvements or suggest new ideas. Ultimately, the goal is to create a visually pleasing favor that reflects your style and adds personality to your special day.

Awh, Thank you so much! I actually reconfigured it. I made some lanterns short length, some longer length! And sprayed painted the lamp shade gold! It actually came out really pretty! I
