(info) I took a few screenshots and pictures because I had no connection or internet, and I needed to know where I was since I was impatient.
(Explanation story, if curious.) Last year, I took a round trip by train with Amtrak from San Bernardino, California to Albuquerque, New Mexico and back, which was a 15-hour ride. The trip coming was much easier because I traveled in the late evening, slept through the night, and only had a few hours left in the morning. In contrast, the trip coming back felt much longer ride starting in the early evening and extending through the night. My family often avoided flying or driving, so the train was the easiest option for visiting family in New Mexico in past especially with extra carry on luggage for bringing back souvenirs. However, reaching your destination even when it’s challenging is always worth it when it's somewhere you really want to go.

(Questions❓)How do you handle traveling for long distances and hours?
Traveling long distances by train can be a unique and enriching experience. While it may take longer than flying, train travel offers scenic views and opportunities for relaxation. Amtrak's routes often showcase beautiful landscapes, making the journey itself a memorable part of your trip. During the 15-hour round trip from San Bernardino to Albuquerque, the contrasting experiences of day and night travel highlighted the importance of planning. Evening departures allow for restful overnight travel, reducing fatigue and maximizing time at your destination. Conversely, daytime travel can be more challenging due to the length and need for preparation. Packing effectively for long travels is essential, especially when bringing souvenirs or extra luggage. It's advisable to have entertainment, snacks, and comfortable attire to make the journey pleasant. Also, staying hydrated and walking around the train during stops can help alleviate any stiffness from sitting for long periods. As you embark on your own travel adventures, consider your method of transportation and how it fits into your overall travel experience. Whether by train, plane, or car, each mode has its unique benefits and challenges. Engaging with fellow travelers and sharing stories can also enhance the journey, creating a sense of community.
