Health plans and goals - changes

My objectives for boosting my health: In terms of enhancing my perspective, as I have been focusing on improving my habits and goals, for the past few months have been minimal and slow due to the holidays, and I just wanted to enjoy the last few days off with my family. However, I am redirecting my focus and outlook on my health more seriously.

(My Goals and plans) ⤵️

Minor changes with medication and supplements:

————————————————

As I am diabetic, I have to continue taking my medications, which means taking my prescriptions more consistently. However, I am still planning on taking the berberine and the other supplements daily but cautiously, as I am currently taking Jardiance (20 mg) and taking Ozempic (semaglutide) 1mg.

- My wish is to drastically decreasing my a1c levels to where my doctor will hopefully lower or taking me off my prescriptions.

Diet changes:

My plan starting tomorrow (1/06/2025) is to slowly cut down my intake of sugar, sodium, carbs, and red meat also on fast food. I want to work on adding more fiber into my diet naturally, as this has often been a challenging part of my nutritional intake. Luckily, I have studied nutrition for years and can use some of my knowledge for my own diet changes. Although it will be challenging at the start, as I have been accustomed to some unhealthy dietary habits.

Meal ideas:

When it comes to having a certain number of meals a day, I normally skip breakfast as I am on an intermittent fasting schedule, which has helped me tremendously. Throughout the day, I try to drink as much water as possible, usually aiming for half a gallon a day and tracking it on my daily tracker. For lunch and dinner, I tend to watch my calories. However, I am planning to work on a low-carb plan with some keto-inspired practices, along with adding fruits and veggies. I have done this in the past, and it has helped me work on my carb habits.

————————-

Exercise goals :

I have been doing light exercises for a while, but it’s been minimal. However, I am hoping to make the effort to do more walking every day, along with workout routines on a phone app and 10 minutes on the stepper. Although my plan will be small at the start, with half the time rather than a brutal long start, I want to take my time and get the hang of it slowly.

Fun plan:

I am also looking into making fruit smoothies and possibly looking into protein powders eventually once I get the hang of my nutrition routine.
