Monthly recap: December 🫶 2025 🎂🎄

My December recap: The last few months of 2025 were better than the beginning of the year. December was a good month—not as amazing as some previous years, but more stable and balanced. Turning 30 was the highlight of my month. While it should have been an exciting milestone, I spent much of the time reflecting on the challenges of 2025 and my difficult twenties overall. Still, I realize how grateful I am for the people in my life. It’s not perfect, but it’s better than having nothing. I started my journey on Mounjaro and Monday, and January 5th I start my fourth week dose of Mounjaro. Christmas was great not the best personally for me but it was great way to spend with family and cherish the holidays and meanings after a challenging year.

I encourage anyone who wants to share, reflect, or vent to do so-this has helped me a lot because it's very therapeutic.

Adventure is out there, and so is growth—even in reflection! ☺️

Turning 30 is often seen as a major life event that prompts deep reflection, and my experience was no different. Amidst celebrating this birthday milestone, I also embarked on a health initiative with Mounjaro, starting my fourth week of doses in early January. This medication has been a key part of my weight loss and wellness goals, and I've noticed how pairing it with a new walking routine before the New Year helps build momentum. Incorporating gentle physical activity like walking has been surprisingly transformative. It creates a structured moment of mindfulness while contributing to my overall wellness journey. This blend of medical aid and personal effort seems essential, especially after a challenging year like 2025. Beyond physical health, I found that spending Christmas with family—though not without ups and downs—reminded me of the importance of connection and gratitude. Sometimes, the holidays don't have to be perfect to be meaningful; embracing imperfection is part of growth. I also discovered that sharing these reflections, even when unfiltered, can be therapeutic. Writing or talking openly about challenges and progress helps me release stress and find clarity. If you're on a similar path, whether dealing with age-related transitions, health goals like starting Mounjaro, or seeking balance during the holidays, remember that reflection and openness are steps toward growth. Adventure and healing often come from embracing life’s complexities with kindness toward yourself.
