「これはどこの店？」って聞かれることが多いのが、明治神宮前駅すぐの“DE FRITES STAAN HARAJUKU”。ベルギー発祥のフリッツ（フライドポテト）専門店で、黒いコーンに盛られた見た目も写真映えします。私は休日の昼過ぎに行って、テイクアウトの整理券をもらってから購入まで約1時間待ちでした。とはいえ、整理券を受け取ったらその場で並び続けなくてOKで、指定時間までに戻れば買えるのが助かりました。 行く前にチェックしておくと安心なのが「メニュー」と「ディップ（ソース）」の選び方。フリッツはサイズやスタイルを選んで、ディップを組み合わせる感じ。メニュー表に“Free”と書いてあるディップは、1つ無料で付けられるので、初めてならまずここから選ぶのがおすすめです。私が食べたのは“マヨネーズ&ガーリック”と“マヨネーズ&チリペッパー”。ガーリックはコク強めで、揚げたての香ばしさと相性抜群。チリペッパーはピリ辛で後味が軽く、食べ歩きにもぴったりでした。外はサクサク、中はホクホクで、気付くと手が止まらなくなります。 混雑対策としては、(1)オープン直後を狙う、(2)整理券を取ったら近くで時間をつぶす、の2つが現実的。明治神宮前〜原宿エリアはカフェやショップが多いので、戻り時間までウィンドウショッピングしたり、近場でドリンク休憩を挟むと待ち時間が体感短くなりました。 写真を撮るなら、受け取った直後の“湯気が立つタイミング”が一番おいしそうに写ります。ソース名（マヨネーズ&ガーリック／マヨネーズ&チリペッパー）も一緒に撮ると、後から見返した時に「どのディップが良かったか」も記録できて便利。 最後に、行く日が決まったら公式情報（営業時間・不定休・受付方法の変更）だけは当日確認がおすすめ。バズっているお店ほど運用が変わりやすいので、ここだけ押さえておくと失敗しにくいです。
