Day One
I absolutely loved my time at Ballet West. I’ll be honest—I was so nervous at first (pretty sure that’s normal 😅), but by the end, I had made so many new friends. The first day was packed with seminars and placement classes to kick things off!
Nutrition Seminar
One of my favorite parts was the nutrition seminar. They brought in a dietitian to talk to us about fueling our bodies for dance, and I’ve honestly never been in a program that cared so much about dancers’ overall well-being.
Snow Canyon State Park
We even got to go on a beautiful hike at Snow Canyon State Park! I loved getting to explore a little bit of Utah while still pushing myself and growing in the studio.
Photoshoot!
Midweek, I organized a mini photo shoot with some of the dancers. It was such a fun way to combine my love for photography with dance—and of course, I made sure to get a few shots of myself too 📸.
Group Bonding
The catered food… could have been better 😂. So, on our day off, a bunch of us went to Olive Garden, and it ended up being such a fun memory. Definitely one of my favorite bonding moments from the week.
Swan Lake
To wrap it all up, we performed Swan Lake! Getting the chance to be part of a full ballet production was such an incredible opportunity, and I’m so grateful for every moment.

Swan Lake remains one of the most celebrated ballets worldwide, and participating in such a production offers invaluable performance experience. Ballet West’s comprehensive program encompassing education, wellness, recreational activities, and performance exemplifies a balanced approach to dance training to foster both excellence and resilience.
