... Read moreHey everyone! I'm so excited to share more about our September Christian Challenge, especially as we dive deep into Week 4: Living Out Faith. This week has been incredibly transformative for me, focusing on how we truly embody our beliefs in our daily lives. It's not just about what we say we believe, but how we act, how we pray, and how we see ourselves through God's eyes.
One of the biggest takeaways for me this week, especially from the scripture reading and prayer prompts, has been understanding my true self-worth in Christ. So often, we base our value on worldly achievements or others' opinions, but God's word offers such a profound perspective. I've been meditating on bible verses about self worth that remind me I am fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), chosen and dearly loved (Colossians 3:12), and precious in His sight (Isaiah 43:4). These scriptures about self worth aren't just pretty words; they're foundational truths that actively reshape how I view myself and interact with the world. Spending time praising God and thanking Jesus, as our challenge prompts for Day 22 to Day 28 suggest, truly shifts my focus from my perceived inadequacies to His boundless grace.
Beyond just internalizing these truths, living out faith means putting them into action. My desk setup, often filled with my planner and a good book, has become my little sacred corner for these daily challenges. It's where I engage with the scripture reading and prayer prompts. I’ve found that creating this dedicated space, even if it's just a small, aesthetic desk corner (perhaps inspired by an 'atomic habits book aesthetic desk' vibe!), really helps me commit to my daily devotion. It’s like setting up a visual cue for my spiritual habits, much like the principles of building good habits!
This week's focus on living out your faith has also led me to reflect on passages like John 4:1-26, the story of Jesus and the Samaritan woman. This story, which I've seen outlined in sermons before, beautifully illustrates how Jesus sees beyond societal labels and offers true, living water that satisfies our deepest longings. It speaks volumes about finding our identity and worth not in external circumstances or past mistakes, but in the unconditional love and truth that Jesus provides. He knew everything about her, yet still offered her salvation and revealed His true identity. This is such a powerful example of how God sees us, flaws and all, and still desires a relationship with us, affirming our inherent worth.
I truly believe that by building these spiritual foundations and deepening our understanding, as this September Christian Challenge encourages, we can truly practice faith and live out faith authentically. It's about letting God's truth about who we are permeate every aspect of our lives. If you haven't started yet, it's not too late to join us! Save this post and let's continue this journey of transformation together. Remember, you are valued, you are loved, and your faith journey is worth investing in!
I love this! I’ll definitely be checking out the rest of this challenge. Thank you so much for sharing! God bless you <3
