SNSで見かける「白髪の歌手のおじさんが残念…」みたいな言い方、正直ちょっとモヤっとします。年齢を重ねた姿って、その人が生きてきた時間そのものだし、そこを比べて落とすより「どういう美しさがあるか」を見たい派です。 一方で、「努力を続けている人」も確かにすごい。私が改めて「やっぱり別格だな」と思ったのが、由美かおるさん。若い頃の写真って、昭和のグラビア女優らしい華やかさがあるのに、いやらしさより“品”が勝つんですよね。姿勢や表情がきれいで、ただ細いとか若いとかじゃなく「整っている」印象が強いです。 そして現在の由美かおるさんを見ても、笑顔や立ち姿が変わらない。年齢を聞いてびっくりする人が多いのって、肌やスタイルだけじゃなくて、所作まで含めて“美しく見える要素”を積み上げてきたからだと思います。いわゆる「熟女」の魅力って、若さの代わりに出てくる落ち着きや余裕、そこに手入れや健康意識が合わさって完成するものなのかも。 同じ流れで、山本リンダさんや小柳ルミ子さんも、年代ごとの写真を見ると変化はあっても「舞台に立つ人のオーラ」がずっとある。60周年のステージ衣装やテレビ出演時の姿を見ても、体型をキープするだけじゃなく、見せ方や表現が現役なんですよね。私はファンというほどではないけど、こういう方たちは素直に尊敬します。 ちなみに「入浴 由美かおる ポスター」みたいな検索も多いみたいですが、私が印象に残っているのは、入浴シーンそのものよりも“清潔感”と“凛とした雰囲気”。話題性だけで消費されがちな部分より、長年変わらない美意識のほうが気になります。 結局、ありのままでも、努力していても、どちらでもかっこいい。誰かを下げて褒めるんじゃなくて、「その人が選んだ年齢の重ね方」を楽しめたら、見ている側も気持ちよくなれる気がします。
