Not a typical food day, but I did yard work
Hard to believe that yesterday it was 98°F and today it’s 60°F and raining! But that didn’t stop me from going out and taking care of some yard work and gardening!
79lbs down total, but I still have 10 pounds to re-lose that I gained over the winter/spring!
Vacation is happening at the end of September! I got this!
Achieving and maintaining weight loss requires a balanced approach that combines physical activity with mindful eating, especially when adapting to changing routines like yard work and gardening. Incorporating calorie deficit meals tailored to a vegetarian lifestyle can effectively support weight management without compromising nutrition. For example, a daily intake of approximately 1700 calories including protein shakes, wholesome snacks such as flavored yogurts made with natural ingredients, and homemade meals like mac and cheese with added vegetables helps sustain energy and satiety. It's important to track progress thoughtfully, such as by noting significant milestones like a 79 lbs weight loss and recognizing minor regains that happen seasonally, in this case 10 lbs gained over winter/spring. Setting achievable goals like preparing for an upcoming vacation in September fosters motivation. Weather changes, such as fluctuating from 98°F to rainy 60°F, can challenge outdoor activity plans but by adapting to these conditions and continuing moderate exercises like yard work, you can maintain calorie burn and promote overall well-being. Additionally, integrating culturally diverse and occasional treats, for example Korean street food like spicy and sweet tteokbokki, can add variety to the diet while remaining mindful of portion control and calorie content. Successful weight loss journeys highlight the importance of flexibility, perseverance, and a nutritious calorie deficit diet aligned with personal preferences—whether vegetarian or otherwise—to achieve long-term, sustainable health results. Using forums and community support with hashtags #weightlostjourney, #weightlossdiet, #diet, and #vegetarian also provide encouragement and shared experiences to reinforce commitment.
