The castle that protected Yamagata🏯
📷 castle where you can enjoy a scenic view of the castle town and a historical walk 🏯
📍 Kamiyama Castle
Kaminoyama Castle in Kaminoyama City, Yamagata Prefecture,
It is a historical castle built in 1535 🏯✨
Also known as "Tsukioka Castle,"
It was built as an important castle to protect the boundary between the Mogami clan and the Date clan.
During the Battle of Sekigahara,
Despite being attacked by the Uesugi army led by Kanetsugu Naoe,
played a role in protecting yamagata 👏
The current castle tower was rebuilt in 1982.
The museum is a local museum 😊
In addition to exhibitions where you can learn the history and culture of Kaminoyama,
Corner and video exhibition to introduce the nature of Zao,
There is also an exhibition of armor,
It was more impressive than I thought!
We visited in late November 🍁
The mountains are turning red
From the observation deck on the top floor, I could see the Zao mountain range and the castle town ✨
Right next to Kamiyama Castle,
There is Tsukioka Shrine which is popular as a guardian deity of the castle ⛩️
I was able to worship slowly in the precincts of a calm atmosphere 🙏
Further around,
There is also a samurai residence with a thatched roof.
You can stroll while enjoying the castle town-like scenery 😌
On the way back,
At "Scarecrow Chaya" on the premises,
Kamiyama Onsen specialty "Kamiyama Ageman" and
Buy "Kami no Yama Karinto"!
Ageman is crispy outside,
Karinto is the gentle sweetness of brown sugar,
We got a little hungry and ate 😋
Exhibitions and history courses,
Magatama making and Yumiya experience,
Events such as Night Museum
Since it seems to be held,
It seems that you can enjoy it differently depending on the time you visit 😊
I thought it was just a castle,
Watching the exhibition,
Looking at the scenery,
And around the shrine and samurai residence,
There were more attractions than I thought 🏯✨
When visiting Kamiyama Onsen,
Make sure you stop by 😊
