I’ve always wanted to make a post like this, but I would forget to collect my finished beauty products. Luckily this time around I had enough that I recently finished to make a post out off.
With prices going up on everything! I told myself I needed to be more careful with my beauty spending, because I love trying new products! But I realized I had so many at some point that it got ridiculous I would spend a lot of money on expensive & drug store products & I told myself I needed to start finishing my products before I bought more! And here it is.
Here are my beauty empties! & what I rate each one & if I would buy them again? 🧐
🛍Brand: The Face Shop ( all clear Micellar all in one foam)
⭐️Rating: 7/10
👍Pros: it completely takes off your makeup & you feel super clean!
🤔Cons: it definitely dried out my face from time to time
💰Price: $3.00 clearance from TJmaxx
** this will be my last time purchasing**
🛍Brand: CeraVe ( Ultra Light Moisturizing Lotion )
⭐️Rating : 10/10
👍Pros: light weight, layers well with makeup, doesn’t make my skin oily, light scent
🤔Cons: it’s a bit on the pricey side & the price just went up to $19.99
💰Price: $16.00 at Ulta Beauty
** I keep purchasing this one on repeat 🔁 will be ordering a new one soon!**
🛍Brand: Wet n Wild ( Photo Focus Foundation )
⭐️Rating : 10/10
👍Pros: lightweight, works well with layering different products, the more you add the more full coverage you will have, it lasts all day! & the product itself last a long time, I’ve honestly had this for so long ! One of my favorite products out there & it’s super affordable! I use it daily
🤔Cons: I don’t have any cons to be honest !
💰Price: around $5 at Ulta beauty

🛍Brand: Walgreens ( Hydrogen Peroxide 3% )
⭐️Rating : 9/10
👍Pros: I use it to brush my teeth & as an oral rinse & I am personally starting to stay away from tooth paste because this is such a better option, it’s also super affordable & affective
🤔Cons: the only con is that the bottle was on the smaller side but it did last me a while, both my husband & I use it daily
💰Price: it was around .90 something cents so i purchased 2 as a deal ( I totally forgot the deal but that’s the reason for my I bought it from Walgreens ) 🤗

🛍Brand: Jacklyn x Robin collection ( setting spray )
⭐️Rating : 5/10
👍Pros: it did the job for my makeup to stay in tact for most of the day
🤔Cons: the way it sprayed was just not it, I’ve used better products, didn’t smell so good, the logo just washed off quick
💰Price: $12 at TJmaxx
** will never purchase this again **
🛍Brand: L’Oréal ( Volumes Million Lashes )
⭐️ Rating : 7/10
👍Pros: I love how it looks when it’s layered, when it’s freshly new it is easy to work with and it stays on all day
🤔Cons: it only gives volume when it’s new, you need to use a lash curler for the lashes to be lifted, once it’s half way done it drys and you have to just keep layering which creates flakes which can be irritating, it’s also on the expensive side
💰Price: $13.99
** I would buy this again, when it goes on sale if it’s not on sale I will PASS**

👍Pros: great price, smells amazing, it’s moisturizing on the skin, it works well when layered with lotions & body sprays & perfumes, I love it, instant relaxation
🤔Cons: I only wish the bottle was a bit bigger

Although it can be pricey, I consider it an investment in skincare that pays off with healthier skin. I also experimented with affordable yet effective foundations like Wet n Wild’s Photo Focus. It offers buildable coverage, lasting all day, which is ideal for everyday wear and saves money without sacrificing quality. An unconventional but surprisingly effective product I tried, inspired by the post, was 3% hydrogen peroxide from Walgreens. Using it as an oral rinse instead of toothpaste was a game changer for me in terms of oral hygiene and cost-effectiveness. Through Project Pan, I learned to critically evaluate every product’s performance and value. It encouraged me to prioritize multipurpose items and those with long-lasting results. Additionally, I found that buying during sales or at discounted outlets like TJ Maxx helped maintain quality while keeping expenses down. If you’re thinking of starting your own Project Pan, I recommend keeping a simple rating system and noting the pros and cons as you finish each product. This habit helps in making informed decisions on future purchases and curbs impulse buying.
