CAROUHELL EP 2 PART 1: JUST FOR $3 DISCOUNT

PLEASE SEE NEXT POST FOR PART 2

Hi! Welcome to another episode of carouhell 😂 honestly I really love reading all these mishaps but not when it happens to me HAHAH

So I was selling this baggu medium bowler in coffee, posted it as like new cos I used it less than 5 times. The original price is USD$64 and I’m selling it for $65 (reduced from $68).

So this buyer was interested in trading and was rejected by me twice cos I wanted bigger bags like the small cloud carry on. Finally after many questions and negos we decided to meet and sell at $63.

Firstly, she was late for 10 mins and didn’t bother to tell me. We arranged to meet at 1030am and since 1025am I have been texting her about which part of serangoon mrt we should meet! She replied me at 1037am and only arrived at 1040am.

Secondly, she tried to ask for $60 AGAIN on the spot, which I rejected and price at $63 was agreed when we decide for a meet up.

So during the meet up she spend around 5 mins checking the bag and paying me then rushing off to catch the train. 5 mins later after she left, she contacted me saying that the bag has stitches that came off and discoloration.

Very honestly I don’t check a bag sooo in detailed so I didn’t even know there was anything wrong with the bag. She showed me pictures of loose threads (which can be cut away) and “discoloration” which I have no idea where how she saw them. I explained to her that baggu nylon material is uneven which she should know because she has a few baggu bags.

So I asked her what does she wants out of this convo to which she replied “nth ah”

... Read moreHaving sold items on various online resale platforms myself, I can really relate to the ups and downs shared in this episode. Dealing with last-minute haggling and buyers who don’t respect meeting times is part of the territory, but it can get genuinely frustrating when the buyer quickly points out minor imperfections immediately after the sale is done. From personal experience, Baggu bags, especially the nylon ones like the medium bowler, often have inherent variations in fabric color and minor stitching inconsistencies due to their construction, which usually don't affect their usability or aesthetic. Buyers familiar with the brand typically understand this, but new buyers or those less experienced might mistake normal wear or fabric nuances as defects. In one of my sales involving a nylon tote, a buyer noticed some loose threads and wanted a price cut after purchase. I found that gently trimming the threads resolved the appearance issue and the buyer was happy. It’s useful to remind buyers that nylon is prone to slight color inconsistencies and some loose threads, which can often be fixed easily. Timeliness is also a common issue during in-person exchanges. Setting clearer communication and confirming meeting points helps, but some buyers understandably get caught up in unforeseen delays. Always factoring in a little buffer time can ease tension. Ultimately, buying and selling pre-loved items require patience and clear expectations. Sharing detailed photos and information upfront about any minor imperfections can prevent misunderstandings and maintain good relationships with buyers. Looking forward to part 2 to see how this buyer-seller interaction concludes!

Later on she showed me pictures of “loose stitches” which you have to peel open the folds of the bag to see them (sorry I don’t even check the zips 😂). And apparently the loose stitches that she showed me earlier magically became loose threads 🙃 I’m totally fine with returns but my schedule is abi

How I Score Unique Bags From Carousell
I got to be the first to admit that while I like branded bag, I do not like the hefty price tag it usually comes with. So what does a girl who likes branded back, but does not want to pay full price do? She goes in Carousell. To be fair, Carousell has a pretty good selection of branded bag,
