... Read moreOkay, fellow college students, who else feels that mix of excitement and 'Ugh, already?' when the new semester rolls around? Especially the first day back! I wanted to share my full 'Get Ready With Me' routine for the first day of my second semester at college. It’s all about setting the tone for a productive (and stylish!) new start. My mornings usually start with a bit of a struggle, pulling myself out from under my fluffy duvet. But once I'm up, the first thing I do is grab my water bottle. Hydration is key, right? It just helps me feel a bit more awake and ready to face the day, even before coffee. Next up, I tackle my dorm room. Seriously, making my bed (with that fluffy white bedding and gray throw!) instantly makes the space feel tidier and calmer. It's a small win to start the day. These little actions, from being in bed covering my face and then getting up, really signify the start of my daily process. Then it's off to the bathroom for my morning refresh. I lay out all my essentials – mouthwash, toothpaste, toothbrush – for a quick oral hygiene routine. After that, it's all about the hair. I usually go for something simple but polished, so out come the hair gel and brushes. Once my hair is done, I love to indulge in a little body care routine. A nice lotion and a spritz of my favorite body mist really help me feel put-together and confident. Then, it's makeup time! I don't go overboard for classes, but a little palette, lip gloss, and eyeliner make a huge difference in how I feel. These little steps make me feel ready to tackle lectures and assignments. Now for the fun part – getting dressed! The original article mentioned my outfit details, and I really focused on comfort for the first day back. I started with a cozy brown loungewear set that was perfect for lounging around my dorm while I was getting ready. But for stepping out, I layered a black puffer jacket over it. It's so practical for chilly campus walks and adds a touch of casual cool. My shoes from Amazon and glasses from Zenni completed the look. And of course, a few pieces of jewelry from Amazon to add a little sparkle without being too much. I always aim for something that feels comfortable yet put-together for lectures. And just like that, I'm ready to head out the door! Getting ready for the first day back at college doesn't have to be a huge production, but having a routine really helps me feel prepared and excited. I hope this GRWM gave you some ideas or just a peek into my college mornings. Wish me luck for the second semester!
