Lady Tremaine 💐 Revived Review
I’m going to start reviving reviews from books I’m still completely obsessed with. Ones that have been on my mind since reading the ARC. Now getting the finished copy, I thought to add in a little personal note.
In my original review, I did mention that this one resonated with me as a mother. Lady Tremaine raised her daughters without a mother like myself, so it really reflected on some parts of my own motherhood journey. Growing up in foster care, fairytales like Cinderella hit home with me, so reading this through the untelling perspective of the stepmother was very cathartic. I just love when a book sneaks up on you like that and clicks in places you haven’t looked into for a long time. This is where reading has had such a huge impact on my mental health and it’s such a powerful way to move through areas of continuous healing.
📩 : Would you start reviving reviews or do you already do so ?
