DOING RIGHT!

For me, doing it right goes beyond myself.

It means making the people I love proud—my mom, my dad, my husband, my kids, and my siblings 🤍

The quote from the image really struck a chord: you only need to make your 8-year-old self and your 80-year-old self proud. This shifts our focus from external approval to self-compassion and long-term well-being. When I started focusing on this mindset, it changed how I approach challenges — personally and professionally. Instead of stressing about everyone else’s expectations, I ask myself what my younger self would think about my actions today and whether my older self would feel I made the most meaningful choices. This outlook encourages living authentically and making decisions that sustain happiness over a lifetime. Fitness enthusiasts like those at @poshypilates and @247fitness_kallang inspire me because physical health is a crucial part of honoring your future self. Committing to regular exercise is a gift to that 80-year-old version, helping ensure longevity and vitality. Plus, it boosts my confidence and reminds me that doing right also includes self-care. Ultimately, doing right transcends pleasing others. It’s about nurturing the relationship you have with yourself across time. When both your past and future selves can smile at who you are today, that’s true success.
