Locs Work Wonders for Busy Wives & Moms
Last summer a spiritual transformation on the inside started to be more evident on the outside. Here are a few things I started doing:
1. Getting rid of stuff!
Things you don’t use should not be kept for any reason. It just collects dust when someone else could make use of it. You don’t need 5 of the same thing. Let it go.
2. Reducing the busyness.
Reducing the things I did and the extracurricular activities my kids were in. We don’t need to be in everything. We needed to choose a focus and do well in those few areas.
3. Focusing on my wardrobe.
I started working on a time capsule wardrobe, or my version of it, that reflected my new interests, look, walk, talk, and faith.
4. Getting my locs!!!
My microlocs would definitely make a statement about how I wanted to look and feel. They go through phases of budding, swelling, dropping.
They give carefree, island girl, free-flowing vibes. All the things I feel. I am carefree because I worry less. I love anything that has to deal with the beach, a lake, or body of water. I don’t mind going with the flow because when you know God is in control of everything, you simply let the master work. I transitioned from full-time education to business, and I love it. God said let some things go, and that’s what I did.
Hair is a form of expression, no matter how you view it. My locs reflect my outlook, my life, my vibes.
