My must haves when riding🙆🏻♀️
Honestly, this is just a list of things i bring with me when i’m out riding be it to work or just normal night rides hehe
Firstly, just the normal things, helmet, keys and all but my must is my headscarf and balaclava. I dont know if its just me but i hate stinky helmets, and its been more thn a year since ive gotten my helmet and it still doesnt have any smell. I fully attribute it to my headscarf! The amount of oil and sweat that will get stuck on the helmet if i dont use the headscarf…its jst a big nono to me.
Next, my quadlock. ITS SUCH A GOOD INVESTMENT EH! To be honest, with the amount of phones dropping using quadlocks, id still choose to use it. I feel the phones are dropping because they didnt lock it in right or they bought a knockoff version. Ive never had an issue w mine and I always always do a shake test before riding off to make sure i locked it in.
Next, my cardo. I got it from my boyfriend after he got another one but we are thinking of getting a new one because my packtalk bold is almost dying on me HAHA However, starting out, it was mostly for my friends to know im okay and to ask for help when i needed it so i didnt hv music on at the start.
Next my gloves. Actually to me it depends on where im going to wear my gloves but it shouldnt be like that HAHAHA but i used to wear on the daily when i just started out because i was still getting used to the roads but now i mostly only wear it when im out riding at night and anticipating going to 99bends or road 2 to corner and all.
Next, not very good but my tinted visor. ITS THE BEST THING THAT IVE EVER GOTTEN OKAY. I hate the sun ehen im riding because i literally cant see shit in the sun so its helped me sososo much when riding in the morning but at night, it need soso much focus because there is always a possibility of not seeing something till u are too late to stop so ill always slow down at places i anticipate people dashing through or when im in low speeds ill just keep it up at night to see better.
Last but not least, my camera. Its been awesome to be able to watch back on my journey to places. Im someone that loves to capture moments to look back on and its definitely worth the investment to me because my bike does not have a camera on it too. so besides capturing memories it might save me in the future during accidents hehe
Thats about it for my must haves actually HAHA
Do let me know if you have any other must haves when you are riding too!
When it comes to riding, having the right gear can truly transform your experience and boost your safety. Apart from the essentials I mentioned, like the Quad Lock and Cardo Packtalk, I’ve found additional items that complement my rides. For instance, investing in quality gloves like Alpinestars is crucial—not just for grip and comfort but also for protection. When I’m heading to challenging roads like 99bends, these gloves make a noticeable difference in handling and safety. Helmet choice is another key factor. I’ve noticed that helmets with anti-slip liners and good ventilation make long rides much more comfortable, especially under the blazing sun or during humid conditions. My tinted visor, while fantastic for bright mornings, needs to be flipped up at night for safety—visibility cannot be compromised. Also, mounting a camera on my bike has been such a rewarding investment—not only for capturing memorable sights but also for having evidence on hand if any incident occurs. It’s a peace of mind thing that every rider should consider. Lastly, while I trust my current gadgets, I keep an eye on evolving products like newer Cardo Packtalk models or sturdy bike cases from brands like Urban Armor Gear to ensure I’m always equipped for changing needs. What about you? Any additional gear or tips you swear by? Sharing these helps everyone ride smarter and safer!
