Mothers Day Platter
If I was putting together a Mother’s Day platter, this is exactly what I’m serving 💐
A little bit of everything because moms deserve options! Bacon, ham & cheese sliders, sweet BBQ meatballs, buffalo chicken dip, Rotel dip with Doritos, and churro cheesecake bites topped with strawberries and condensed milk 🍓
This is one of those “everybody grab a plate and sit down” type meals easy, comforting, and made with love ❤️
Sliders:
Hawaiian rolls + ham, bacon, cheese → baked with butter topping until melted & golden
Sweet BBQ Meatballs:
Meatballs tossed in BBQ + a little brown sugar → simmer until sticky
Buffalo Chicken Dip:
Chicken + cream cheese + buffalo + ranch + cheese → bake until hot & bubbly
Rotel Dip:
Ground beef + Rotel + Velveeta → melt together until creamy
Churro Cheesecake Bites:
Crescent dough + cream cheese filling → bake, toss in cinnamon sugar, top with strawberries & condensed milk 🍓
Creating a Mother's Day platter like this is such a wonderful way to show love and appreciation through food. One thing I learned from personal experience is that balancing savory and sweet flavors makes the entire meal feel more special and inviting. For example, the combination of savory sliders and spicy buffalo chicken dip contrasted with sweet churro cheesecake bites provides variety that everyone can enjoy. When making sliders, Hawaiian rolls are the perfect base because their softness complements the melted cheese and crispy bacon topping beautifully. Brushing the butter on top before baking is key—it helps achieve that golden finish and rich flavor. Similarly, adding a touch of brown sugar to the BBQ meatballs elevates their sweetness, making the glaze sticky and irresistible. For dips like buffalo chicken and Rotel, preparing them in advance helps the day go more smoothly so you can spend more time with family. Instant baking before serving ensures they stay hot and bubbly. I personally love pairing Rotel dip with crunchy Doritos, as it adds texture and a salty crunch. Lastly, the churro cheesecake bites bring a festive and indulgent finish to the platter. Tossing them in cinnamon sugar right after baking and topping them with fresh strawberries and condensed milk delivers a refreshing yet rich dessert that’s easy to share. Overall, this kind of platter encourages everyone to gather around, pick their favorites, and enjoy a relaxed, no-fuss meal made with love. It’s the perfect tribute to the hardworking moms who deserve thoughtful treats and delicious food on their special day.
