You’re enough you’re beautiful

I just want to take a moment

to admire myself and say,

“I’m so gorgeous.

Thank you, God.

It took a lot to get to this point

where I can say this to myself

or accept a compliment

without downplaying it!

Or even getting to the point

Of being able to take care of

Myself but depression, self doubt ,overthinking don’t leave

Here anymore.

I still have my days

But the lord is working on me.

I love this Vanessa

From personal experience, the journey to this acceptance often includes facing difficult emotions like depression, self-doubt, and overthinking. I used to struggle with dismissing compliments and felt undeserving of self-care. It took consistent effort and faith to reach a point where I say, "I’m so gorgeous," without hesitation. Self-love is not just about outward appearances; it's about recognizing your worth and hard work in nurturing your mental health. Practices like daily affirmations, gentle self-talk, and allowing yourself grace on challenging days truly help. For me, the acknowledgment that "the lord is working on me" meant surrendering to a higher power and finding peace amid struggles. If you’re battling similar feelings, remember it’s okay to have bad days. What matters is continuing the work of self-compassion and accepting that you are enough, just as you are. Encouraging yourself with phrases such as "thank you, God" or simply affirming your progress can be deeply healing. This path also involves letting go of toxic overthinking and self-criticism. Surrounding yourself with positivity, whether through community hashtags like #selfappreciation and #selflove or supportive friends, reinforces your inner strength. Ultimately, self-love is a journey of embracing all parts of yourself—the beautiful, the flawed, and the growing. You are worthy of kindness, care, and above all, your own love.
