CAEL+DOLION 【OCS】 【Swipe to see more~♡♡】Character Info down below—
Cael and Dolion are Hybrid twins that were born from the forbidden union between a Celestial and an Infernal. They have opposing colors along with even more opposing personalities.
Cael ( Right) was raised in the Celestial realm, whereas Dolion( Left) was raised in the Infernal realm. Because of this, they were treated rather poorly. Cael and Dolion both learned the respective abilities due to environmental influences.
Cael and Dolion used to be very close, but due to the unfortunate death of their mother — someone they were very close to — they started to hate each other and became at odds.
Cael now works as a detective in the Celestial realm, whereas Dolion parties. He's commonly found in the clubs.
Both boys have their respective wealth.

I will say. I have learned quite a bit while working on this piece, haha. I did realize that shadows really carry this piece quite a bit, haha But I am QUITE happy with this and plan on drawing more of these two ~♡♡
... Read moreIt's been such a journey bringing Cael and Dolion to life, and I'm so excited to share more insights into their world! When I first envisioned these twin OCs, I was really drawn to the idea of extreme duality. They're not just any hybrids; they're direct reflections of Celestial light and Infernal shadow, which I tried to emphasize in every detail of their design and backstory.
For Cael, the Celestial-raised twin, I imagined him with striking blonde hair and white skin, reflecting his angelic heritage. His blue eyes hold a certain intensity, hinting at his current role as a detective. On the other hand, Dolion, from the Infernal realm, was designed with stark black hair and dark skin, his yellow eyes carrying a mischievous, perhaps even dangerous, glint. Both are incredibly muscular and sport impressive horns, physically embodying their powerful, supernatural origins. I really wanted their appearances to immediately tell a story about where they come from and the forces that shaped them.
You can see this duality even in their clothing choices – Cael in a white high-neck top and Dolion in a black high-neck top, both adorned with gold fabric accents that symbolize their shared, albeit conflicted, lineage and wealth. It wasn't just about making them look cool; it was about using every visual element to enhance their lore. Their contrasting colors aren't just aesthetic; they perfectly mirror their opposing personalities and the realms that raised them.
I often get asked about the inspiration for their names and backstory. Dolion, for instance, has a name that I felt suited his more enigmatic, perhaps even cunning, persona, fitting for someone often found in clubs! Cael's name, conversely, evokes a sense of light and duty, aligning with his detective work. The tragedy of their mother's death and their subsequent estrangement was crucial for me to establish their deep, complex relationship—how two beings so connected could become so bitterly opposed. It’s a theme I find incredibly compelling in character development.
Beyond their looks, their unique abilities are also a huge part of their charm. Cael, raised in the Celestial realm, harnesses powers tied to light and justice, honed for investigation and protection. Dolion, shaped by the Infernal world, commands darker, perhaps more chaotic, energies, fitting for his rebellious lifestyle. The environmental influences on their powers, as mentioned, are key to understanding why they developed so differently. Imagine the challenges they face, being born from a forbidden union, each treated poorly in their respective realms. This inherent conflict and their struggle to find their place, despite their immense power and wealth, adds so much depth to their story.
Working on this piece, especially focusing on the interplay of light and shadow, was a huge learning experience. As I mentioned, the shadows really helped define their forms and emphasize their otherworldly presence. It’s these thoughtful design choices that I hope make them feel real and relatable, even with their fantastical origins. I pour a lot of personal creativity and passion into my OCs, and sharing their journey, from their forbidden union to their current lives, is truly rewarding. I'm already planning more art to delve deeper into their individual stories and their eventual paths.
