MY 7A-7P BEFORE MY 7P-7A
This was my day 1/3 & it's always the hardest for me!
I struggle to sleep as is, so when I try to nap & power up for my shift I usually end up making myself more tired. My normal is to stay awake 24+ hours on my day one 🥴
Woke up, hopped in the shower, brushed my teeth & washed my face!(Washing my face instantly makes my day better!!) I love waking up & having a chill day but also being productive! Cooked my breakfast, lunch and dinner before turning on The Ultimatum! Took a Power Nap, did my makeup & headed off to work at 6:15!
What do you do for work & what are your normal hours?
For those embarking on night shifts, establishing a solid routine like mine can make a big difference! Effective strategies include optimizing sleep by creating a dark room, using sleep masks, and avoiding caffeine before rest. Preparing nutritious meals in advance helps maintain energy levels throughout the shift. Also, staying hydrated with a reusable water bottle is essential. Engaging in light exercise or a quick walk can boost your mood and alertness. Don't forget to find moments for relaxation during your breaks, whether that's indulging in a few episodes of your favorite show or practicing mindfulness to re-energize yourself.
