A couple of #fitness before and afters

So I can’t tell you how much *weight* I’ve lost because I really haven’t. I’ve burned fat and replaced it with muscle. I’ve completely #sculpted my #booty and I see so much change. I’m still not at my goal yet but finally seeing a difference actually feels like the work I’m putting in against a body that doesn’t wanna cooperate is really showing 🩵

... Read moreSeeing those subtle changes in your body can be incredibly motivating, especially when the scale isn't telling the full story. For me, my fitness journey has been less about losing 'weight' and more about a complete body recomposition – burning fat and replacing it with strong, functional muscle. It’s a process that truly highlights the power of consistent effort, and I'm still amazed by what our bodies can achieve! One of the absolute best tools I've found to track my progress, beyond any number, is taking regular 'before and after' pictures. You know, those 'split images' where you can literally see the transformation side-by-side? They're game-changers! When I started, I just took a simple 'mirror selfie' in a sports bra and leggings, like the ones you often see. I made sure to take them from the same angles – front, side, and back – in similar lighting. It might feel silly at first, but believe me, those visual cues are priceless. For instance, looking back at my 'before' photos where I might have been wearing a comfy t-shirt and dark pants, and comparing them to later shots in a more fitted sports bra and shorts, the difference in muscle definition, like my sculpted booty, is undeniable. Sometimes it's hard to see the change day-to-day, but put those pictures next to each other, and suddenly all that hard work clicks into place. It really shows how much your body shape can change even if the number on the scale stays the same. When people ask 'what sport related fitness is demonstrating' the changes in my body, I always emphasize a balanced approach. While I adore seeing definition, especially in my booty, it wasn't achieved just by endless cardio. My routine heavily involves strength training – compound movements like squats, deadlifts, and lunges, mixed with isolation exercises. I've found that challenging my muscles with progressive overload is key to building that lean mass. Beyond the weights, active recovery and some HIIT sessions have also played a role in fat burning. It’s not always easy; there are days my body truly doesn't want to cooperate, but pushing through those moments, even with small adjustments, makes all the difference. Of course, you can’t out-train a bad diet, right? Fueling my body properly has been just as crucial as my workouts. Focusing on whole, unprocessed foods, lean protein for muscle repair, and adequate healthy fats and complex carbs for energy has been fundamental. It's not about strict deprivation, but rather making sustainable, healthy choices most of the time. Consistency, both in the gym and the kitchen, has been my secret weapon. It’s what allowed me to burn fat and replace it with muscle gradually over months and even years, as you can see in my transformation timeline. This journey isn't a sprint; it's a marathon. I'm definitely not at my ultimate goal yet, but seeing these changes has been incredibly validating. It took almost two years for some of the biggest shifts and even seven months for other noticeable differences to appear. There will be plateaus, weeks where you feel like nothing is happening, and moments of frustration. That's totally normal! But remembering why you started, celebrating every small victory – whether it's lifting heavier, running further, or just feeling stronger in your everyday life – keeps you going. Trust the process, even when it feels slow, because the results are truly worth it. So, if you're thinking about starting your own fitness transformation, or you're already on it and feeling a bit stuck, don't underestimate the power of those 'before and after' photos and the mental game. Focus on how you feel, how strong you're becoming, and the incredible things your body can do. Every bit of effort counts, and you deserve to see your progress shine!
