Dream on Daydreamers
Some called it wishing.
I call it dreaming.
And what’s wrong with that really. I think it’s ok to dream as long as you don’t loose focus on reality.
How things happen for one person may not be the way they happen for you. This is why you cannot compare. This is why you should not compare. But I know, we are human and it is hard not to compare ourselves to others.
I say… dream. Dream all you want. Dream big. Because you never know. Once day, it may become a beautiful reality.
Dreaming on.

It truly resonated with me when this post talked about the power of simply letting your mind dream. For so long, I felt like dreaming was a luxury, something frivolous, or even worse, a sign of not being grounded in reality. But I’ve learned that it’s quite the opposite. Our 'mind dreams' – those quiet aspirations, the visions we hold for our future, the 'what ifs' that spark joy – are often the very blueprints for our personal growth and happiness. One of the biggest hurdles, as the original post mentioned, is comparing ourselves to others. It’s so easy to look at someone else’s journey and feel like your own dreams are somehow less valid or achievable. But I’ve realized that my mind dreams are uniquely mine. They stem from my experiences, my values, and my deepest desires. When I catch myself comparing, I try to gently remind myself that everyone’s path is different, and what works for one person might not be the right fit for me. It’s like admiring a beautiful house on a street (perhaps even one I see from my window view, with its neat residential houses and trees), but knowing my own home, with its unique character, is exactly where I’m meant to be. So, how do we really 'dream big' and let our mind explore these possibilities without losing touch with reality? For me, it starts with carving out dedicated time for reflection. I often find myself sitting by my window, watching the clouds drift by, or observing the quiet street scene with the white car parked, and it's in these peaceful moments that my mind truly begins to dream. Having a comfortable spot, like a chair with a teal pillow, really helps create that reflective atmosphere. It’s not about escaping reality, but about intentionally creating space for my thoughts to wander and explore without judgment. Journaling has become an indispensable tool in this process. When I have a 'mind dream' – an idea, a feeling, a vague aspiration – I write it down. It doesn’t have to be perfect or fully formed; the act of writing helps solidify it. It transforms a fleeting thought into something tangible. Sometimes, these initial scribbles feel silly, but over time, I see patterns emerge, and those 'silly' dreams start to take shape. It’s like planting a seed; you don't know exactly what it will become, but you nurture it. Another practical step I’ve found incredibly helpful is visualization. Once I have a clearer idea of a dream, I spend time imagining it in vivid detail. What does it look like? What does it feel like? Who am I with? This isn't just wishful thinking; it's training my brain to recognize opportunities and focus my energy. It tells my subconscious, 'This is where we're headed.' And finally, acting on those dreams, even in small ways. A big dream can feel overwhelming, so I break it down into tiny, manageable steps. If my mind dreams of learning a new skill, I might start by researching online courses, then dedicating 15 minutes a day to a tutorial. These small actions build momentum and make the dream feel less daunting and more achievable. It's about taking that beautiful, inspiring 'mind dream' and giving it roots in the everyday. Ultimately, letting your mind dream is a powerful act of self-care and self-discovery. It’s about honoring your inner voice and believing in the potential that lies within you. Don’t ever let anyone tell you it’s just wishing. It’s the first step towards creating the life you truly desire. Keep dreaming, because as this post beautifully reminds us, one day, those dreams may become a beautiful reality.
