Nouns in Pali are divided into three main types:
1.Name (general / specific name),
2. Khun Nam (Characteristics), and
3. Sapnam (pronouns instead of nouns). All of them have to give out seven verses, both majors and polywords, and there are three types of links: Pung Link (male), Itthi Link (female), and Nipung Sklink (unspecified gender).
Detail of the type of name
1.Nama (name of people, animals, things): divided into two things:
* Sathanam (common name): Generally used, such as Manuso (man), Cattle (cow), Nanti (river).
* Asa Nam (specific name): Used specifically, such as Tewetto (Devatat), Ganges (Ganges)
2. Khun Nam (Gu a): is a term that expands or characterizes the noun to know whether it is good or evil, etc., divided into three layers.
* Normal: Tell the original characteristics, such as the wise.
* Vise: Tell me more characteristics, such as Praditro (the wiser).
* Ativis: Tell the most characteristics, such as Praditmo (the wisest)
3. Sabba-nāma (pronoun): A noun used to represent a noun that has already been issued so that it is not repeated, such as (that), et (that), im (this), y (anyone), Geu (what / what).
An important element in the distribution of nouns.
* Gender Links: Divided into Pung Links, Itthi Links, Napung Sklink
* Declension: the most vowel of the term (ah, ah, i, e, u, u)
* Vibhati (Case): There are 14 to enumerate the duties (Si, Yo, Yo, Na, Hi...)
* Word (Number): Ek Word (One), Multi Word (Two and Up)

จากประสบการณ์การเรียนรู้ภาษาบาลี ผมพบว่านามศัพท์เป็นส่วนที่มีความสำคัญมาก เพราะเป็นหัวใจของการสื่อความหมายในบาลี การรู้จักประเภทของนามต่างๆ เช่น นามนามที่แบ่งย่อยเป็นสาธารณนามและอสาธารณนาม ทำให้เราสามารถแยกแยะความหมายและบริบทของคำได้ชัดเจนขึ้น เช่น มนุสฺโส ใช้เรียกมนุษย์โดยทั่วไป ขณะที่เทวทตฺโตใช้เฉพาะเจาะจงถึงพระเทวทัต วิธีการแจกวิภัตติซึ่งมีมากถึง 7 การก และการแบ่งเพศของคำเป็นปุงลิงค์ อิตถีลิงค์ และนปุงสกลิงค์ เป็นระบบที่ละเอียดและช่วยให้เข้าใจหน้าที่ของคำนามในประโยคอย่างลึกซึ้งกว่าไวยากรณ์ภาษาไทย นอกจากนี้คุณนามที่เป็นคำขยายบอกลักษณะนามยังแบ่งได้ 3 ระดับ ตั้งแต่ปกติ วิเสส ไปจนถึงอิติวิเสส ซึ่งทำให้คำที่ใช้สามารถสื่อถึงระดับคุณภาพหรือคุณสมบัติที่แตกต่างกันได้ เช่น ปณฺฑิโต หมายถึงผู้ฉลาดทั่วไป ขณะที่ ปณฺฑิตตโม แปลว่าฉลาดที่สุด ซึ่งช่วยเพิ่มความละเอียดอ่อนในการสื่อสารและการถ่ายความหมาย จุดเด่นอีกอย่างของภาษาบาลีคือการใช้สัพพนามแทนนามนามที่ได้กล่าวถึงแล้ว เพื่อหลีกเลี่ยงความซ้ำซาก เช่น คำว่า ต, เอต, อิม ที่หมายถึง 'นั้น' 'นั่น' และ 'นี้' ตามลำดับ นับเป็นระบบที่ช่วยให้ประโยคมีความหลากหลายและอ่านง่ายขึ้น การเรียนรู้การแจกวิภัตติและลิงค์จึงมีความสำคัญ เพราะช่วยให้เรารู้ว่าคำนามแต่ละคำเปลี่ยนรูปแบบอย่างไรในแต่ละกรณีและเพศ ซึ่งถ้าคุณลองฝึกอ่านบทบาลีดั้งเดิมหรือวรรณคดีเก่าๆ จะเห็นได้ชัดว่าการใช้ไวยากรณ์อย่างถูกต้องนี้ทำให้ข้อความมีความหมายสมบูรณ์และเข้าใจได้ง่ายขึ้น โดยส่วนตัว ผมอยากแนะนำให้ลองเขียนประโยคสั้นๆ แล้วทดลองแจกวิภัตติเพื่อดูความเปลี่ยนแปลง ลองสังเกตว่าคำที่มีลิงค์เพศแตกต่างกันให้ความหมายและโทนที่ไม่เหมือนกันอย่างไร ซึ่งจะช่วยเพิ่มความเข้าใจและความมั่นใจในการใช้ภาษาบาลีมากขึ้นทีเดียว
