The other day, I made plans with a friend—only for them to flake last minute. I won’t lie, I felt disappointed. I was already feeling down, and I knew I needed to get out of the house. So instead of canceling my own plans, I went out alone.
And you know what? It was exactly what I needed.
There’s something freeing about enjoying your own company.
