Sightseeing Bucketlist Part 1 of ?
I have a very long travel bucketlist, but these are some of the sights I really want to see before I die. WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR BUCKETLIST ITEMS?
1. Machu Picchu: Peru
I've always had a fascination with old historical structures. I find learning the history of ancient cultures very interesting, plus it's one of the 7 wonders of the world.
2. The Great Pyramids and The Sphinx: Egypt
It's so crazy to think about what happened at these historical landmarks when you're standing within them. What notable people may have stood in the same spot as you. The amount of intensive labor and sacrifice/suffering people went through to build these monuments.
3. The Leaning Tower of Pisa: Italy
The tower began to lean during construction due to soft ground. It continued to get worse until its completion but has been stabilized since. The tower is actually a cathedral bell tower with 7 total bells. I'd like to go and do the touristy thing of "holding" the tower up OR "knocking" it down in a photo 😂.
4. The Hollywood Sign: California, USA
If you live in the US, chances are you've heard about the iconic Hollywood Sign. I just think this would be a cool one and done photo op.
5. The Roman Colosseum: Italy
Circling back to numbers 1 and 2. I'm also very much into Roman (and Greek) mythology.
6. Giraffe Manor: Kenya
This has been my DREAM accommodation for many years. Giraffes are my favorite animal and Africa is the # 1 continent I want to visit. If you stay in the actual Manor, giraffes can come up to your window and join you for meals 🦒.
7. Trevi Fountain: Italy
A huge fountain constructed in the 1700s. It's one of the most famous fountains in the world. The fountain is connected to an aqueduct used in ancient Rome. People toss millions of euros worth of coins in the fountain each year. The coins are collected and given to charity.

Italy is a treasure trove of iconic sites, including the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Trevi Fountain, ideal for breathtaking photographs and cultural immersion. In the USA, the Hollywood Sign serves as a reminder of the iconic film industry, presenting an opportunity for a quick photo op. Lastly, Giraffe Manor in Kenya provides a unique lodging experience unlike any other, where giraffes greet guests.
