If My Anxiety was a Monster

What would be super cool is if I could like summon it like a Pokemon or a familiar

Like "Anxiety I choose you!" and just like summon it in front of me, ready for battle.

Actually now that I think about it I think I might just make a team like if it was a Pokemon team full of things like anxiety and stuff like that, I'm going to have to see if there's other artworks of different stuff like ADHD or something like that.

Art Work is Not Mine!

... Read moreTurning the experience of anxiety into something tangible, like a summoned monster, is a creative way to cope with and understand mental health challenges. From personal experience, visualizing anxiety as an entity you can confront or work alongside can bring a sense of control. For example, when anxiety feels overwhelming, imagining it as a 'monster' that you can call upon and then manage makes it less abstract and more approachable. This approach also opens the door to recognizing other aspects of neurodivergence, such as ADHD, by envisioning each challenge as part of a 'team' of creatures with unique traits. This can promote self-awareness and empathy, encouraging people to embrace their neurological differences rather than fear them. The keywords from the image text like "ANXIETY," "PANIC ATTACK," and "DARK" remind us how daunting these feelings can be. However, turning these into art and visual metaphors makes the internal struggle more visible and easier to share with others. For those who create or consume such art, hashtags like #monstersketch, #anxietymonster, and #neurodivergentartist build community and foster discussion around mental health using creativity. In practice, combining art with mental health advocacy—perhaps by drawing your own anxiety monster or creating a team representing different feelings—can be both therapeutic and empowering. It’s a way of reclaiming your narrative and inviting others to appreciate the complexities of living with anxiety and other neurodivergent traits. Overall, blending imagination with mental health can make invisible struggles feel less isolating and more manageable.
