Ear Muffs- not shown (we can't mess up the hair & we could bust out in a sweat in our head walking from the vehicle to your destination, so no skull cap)
Biker jacket- heavy enough but not too heavy, to keep on to serve the look. (must zip up... it is still f/winter)
Top- lace & oversized for ventilation (if a flash hit🔥)
Satin skirt- high slit (for easy air🌬 access)
Flesh tone leggings- giving coverage but still breathable(it gets cold 🥶 outside)
Portable Fan(not shown)- Can't leave home without it! Nothing worse than sweating in your head😩
Platform boots- still giving FASHION and easy to move around in, if you have to keep getting up to use the restroom or go out and get some fresh air. #menopause#cuteoutfit#lol#menopausehumor
... Read moreNavigating seasonal changes during menopause can be a real challenge, especially when the weather outside is chilly but hot flashes surprise you at any moment. I found that the key to staying comfortable and stylish during fall and winter lies in layering with breathable fabrics and versatile pieces.
For instance, a lightweight biker jacket works wonders: it adds warmth but isn’t so heavy that it causes overheating. Pairing this with an oversized lace top allows airflow, which is essential when a sudden hot flash hits. I also learned to rely on clothes that offer easy ventilation, like high-slit skirts that provide subtle cooling without sacrificing coverage.
Leggings in a flesh tone are my go-to for maintaining warmth while still feeling breathable, so my legs don’t get too cold outside. One unexpected must-have has been a portable fan—it’s a lifesaver to tackle those moments when my head feels overheated, especially while out and about.
Footwear matters too. Platform boots are stylish and practical; they keep me grounded while allowing easy movement during those frequent restroom or fresh-air breaks.
I also skip heavy headwear like skull caps because they mess up my hair and can intensify sweating. Instead, ear muffs (not shown here) can be worn when indoors or only brief exposure out in the cold.
Balancing fashion and the unpredictable physical sensations caused by menopause requires some creativity but can definitely be done. With these tips, I’ve managed to put together outfits that look great and keep me comfortable, proving that menopause doesn’t mean compromising on style or functionality during fall and winter.
